Publix announced on Thursday that the grocery chain will be selling a rare plant at select locations for a limited time.
The plant — a Thai constellation — will be sold in certain areas around Florida and Georgia, a release from the company shows.

“Named for the constellation-like speckled coloring on its heart-shaped leaves, this rare variation of the monstera plant was genetically engineered in Thailand and is native to the tropical regions of the Americas,” the release reads. “This variation can grow up to 60 feet tall with leaves up to 15 inches wide.”
However, these plants are in limited supply, so company officials explained they won’t be a mainstay at Publix stores.
Some of the Florida cities near where these plants will be sold are as follows:
- Cape Coral
- Daytona Beach
- Florida Panhandle
- Fort Myers
- Jacksonville
- Lakeland
- Melbourne
- Ocala
- Orlando
- Tallahassee
- Tampa
In addition, Publix said that there will also be a few stores outside these areas that might receive a supply.
No additional information has been provided, including exact store addresses or how many supplies are available.
