While 935 companies made the list nationally, only 29 of those firms are headquartered in Florida.
And of those, five are found in Central Florida.
In Orlando, Darden Restaurants manages plenty of popular brands, including Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Longhorn Steakhouse.
Darden made the list thanks to its great work-life balance and stability for employees; the company features plenty of standard benefits, alongside adoption assistance, financial education programs, and tuition assistance for employees.

The City Beautiful also hosts Travel + Lesiure Co. (TNL), a travel membership and timeshare company that scored high in terms of “belongingness” and professional development. Its portfolio includes Panorama, the Wyndham Destinations vacation clubs, and Shell Vacations Club, among others.
Along the coast in Daytona Beach, Brown & Brown Insurance also made the list. Its flexible work arrangements and work opportunities abroad helped give it an edge over other firms.
And further south in Melbourne, L3Harris operates the headquarters for its information technology services. Like Darden, it ranked high in terms of stability, but it also got great marks for quality of pay.
Last up is Winter Haven with the banking company SouthState Corporation. It ranked highest in employee stability, featuring many traditional benefits like medical and dental, alongside student loan assistance, paid days off for volunteer work, and paid internships.
