CASSELBERRY, Fla. – The owners of V’s Vegan Diner in Casselberry are taking to social media to plead for customer support as the business is struggling financially.

The restaurant, located at 908 State Road 436, first opened in August after a long-delayed build-out of the restaurant, which the business blamed in part for its current struggles.

“When we signed our lease we had budgeted for a build-out within a 4-month timeframe. Ultimately that ended up being 18 months and over five times the cost, six times after including rent,” a post to social media reads.

The post went on to say that the community was very supportive in its first few weeks of business but recently sales “declined fairly drastically.”

“We have been closed the last few days because the partners have been meeting trying to figure out IF we can afford to stay open,” the post said.

The business said the owners have decided to give another push to keep the restaurant afloat.

“We have decided to give this thing one more shot and do everything we can to remain in business. We ask you to please do what you can to support us any way you can,” the post read.

It concludes by saying the restaurant would be open for its regular hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but did not say what days or hours it would be open after that.
