Getting Better with Kirstin O’Connor: New show debuts on News 6+

News 6+ launches its first weekly series

ORLANDO, Fla. – WKMG-TV has launched a new digital-only show titled “Getting Better, with Kirstin O’Connor” that you can watch on the new News 6+ app, ClickOrlando.com or YouTube.com.

Getting Better, a conversation led by News 6 anchor Kirstin O’Connor, is designed to be a more casual yet in-depth conversation with guests, away from our traditional anchor desks, and out of the studio.

“Better” is an open concept, so the show will cover better health, better goals, better work or better knowledge of topics affecting Central Florida.

“I’m really excited about this project,” O’Connor said. “It is a show I’ve been wanting to do for years, and with the advent of new technology and a commitment from WKMG to push the boundaries of television journalism, we’re able to bring this concept to life. It’s the right program at the right time.”

The show is produced by News 6′s Erika Briguglio.

“One of the topics we’ll be visiting regularly is how WKMG journalists uncover stories,” Briguglio said. “We want to connect with viewers in each episode, laying the groundwork for more interaction with the journalists at News 6.”

The pilot episode premiered Wednesday, April 20, and you can watch it in the video player above.
