ORLANDO, Fla. – A Central Florida organization needs help getting basic hygiene products to Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas and Louisiana.
Clean the World assembles care packages with soap, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, face masks and other items.
The group has already sent 2,000 bags filled with the goods, but said that thousands more will be needed.
“Right now is a time where we need to get to as many people as possible so that they have the hygiene items that they need to keep safe so they don't catch a disease or get sick,” said organizer Shawn Seipler, of Clean the World.
The group is meeting from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at 2544 East Landstreet Road, Suite 600 in Orlando. Volunteers must be at least 8 years old.
Monetary donations are also accepted.
