News 6 is partnering with Walgreens to help you "Get Results" for flu season.
On Thursday, Sept. 29, flu shots are available at no cost through a voucher program for uninsured and underinsured residents, at every Walgreens in Central Florida from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The locations include Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, Osceola, Lake, Marion, Flagler and Sumter counties.
For those who are uninsured or underinsured, Walgreens will supply a voucher at each store, covering the cost of the flu shot. Viewers are also able to come to News 6 to get a flu shot at no cost for those who are eligible to receive a voucher.
For the insured, the vast majority of insurance plans cover the cost of a flu shot with no co-pay or out of pocket cost.
News 6 is located 4466 N. John Young Parkway.
In addition, Walgreens pharmacists will also be available to take questions about the flu season from noon to 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Viewers can call the News 6 hotline at 888-436-6665 to ask questions.
