February was almost too good of a month for new TV series premieres, and with shows debuting left and right, it can be pretty overwhelming. How do you know what’s good enough to watch? And what streaming services are right for you when there are so many to choose from?
Using data from Reelgood, Stacker found a way to help. We’ve compiled a list of the 20 most popular TV shows to stream across all platforms as of March 4, 2024. (IMDb ratings and other data points were added for supplementary insights.) And as proof that new shows garner increased audience interest, more than half of the top shows on this list premiered in 2024.

There’s something for everyone with this week’s list, which ranges from drama to comedy to sci-fi, and even romance. Some of the shows are based on historical events and figures, while others create worlds all their own.
One such world was first introduced to viewers in 2010 when “The Walking Dead” immersed us into life during a zombie apocalypse. Although that beloved series came to an end in 2022—and killed a lot of people along the way—two of its main characters, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne Hawthorne (Danai Gurira), lived on. Viewers are following their journey in a new spinoff series, aptly titled “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live,” which premiered on Prime Video on Feb. 25.
Though 11 of the top 20 TV shows to stream right now premiered this year, there’s one series that’s taking viewers back two decades. Why is a show that aired back in 2003 with only three episodes gaining traction now? One word: “Dune.”
“Children of Dune” is a three-part miniseries based on Frank Herbert’s books “Dune Messiah” and “Children of Dune.” Its sudden resurgence on the streaming service Hoopla coincides with the release of the highly anticipated movie “Dune: Part Two,” which hit theaters on March 1.
