New searches launched for missing mom Michelle Parker

Divers search two areas in Orange County

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two new searches for Michelle Parker, a missing mother of three who vanished more than three weeks ago, were launched Friday in Orange County.

Divers are searching a creek off Jordan Avenue, just north of Sand Lake Road off South Orange Blossom Trail.  A search is also being conducted along Econlockhatchee Trail between Curry Ford Road and Lee Vista Boulevard.

The area of the canal being searched off Jordan avenue is behind a home owned by Dale Smith Sr.

"This is a very large search area that the Orange County Sheriff's Office is going through," Local 6's David Sprung said while flying in Sky 6 over Curry Ford Road.

Orlando police have not said what prompted the searches for the missing 33-year-old woman.

Parker's iPhone was found by a dive team under a bridge over Lake Conway in Belle Isle, sources confirmed Thursday to Local 6.  Orlando police would not say when or where the phone was found, but neighbors shared photos with Local 6 showing a dive team searching the lake on Friday.  The distance between Lake Conway and the search off Jordan Avenue is about three miles.

Parker vanished Nov. 17 after she appeared on an episode of "The People's Court" with her ex-fiance, Dale Smith Jr., who is the prime suspect in her disappearance.  He has not been charged with any crime, however.

Smith, 40, has custody of the couple's 3-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.  Parker also has an 11-year-old son from another relationship.
