ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears are hosting an open call Monday to find fans and models to feature in the team's new advertising campaign, "I AM A SOLAR BEAR."
Monday's open call will kick off with the launch of the team's new jersey. The casting call is being held at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, located 8701 Maitland Summit Blvd. in Orlando from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

12 winners will be selected for the hockey team's ad campaign and will be featured in web, billboard, and Amway Center in-arena advertising. One grand prize winner will also appear in The Orlando Sentinel and Orlando Magazine, as well as on billboards and venue advertising including the Amway Center JumboTron and Solar Bears collateral materials.
The first 300 participants to the event who have completed the required paperwork will have the opportunity to be photographed in the team's new jersey. Participants who must be 4 years or older are highly encouraged to pre-register by visiting The Solar Bears website and bringing the signed forms to the RDV Sportsplex on the day of the event.
Pre-registration online does not guarantee your place in line or the opportunity to participate.
Those interested in participating are advised photographs will be taken in an ice hockey facility, and participants should dress appropriately for a facility where the temperature is about 45 degrees. Props are encouraged. Individuals between the ages of 4 and 14 years old may be accompanied by a parent or guardian into the studio.
Parking is available in the RDV Sportsplex lot closest to Sam Snead's Restaurant; please use the Ice Den entrance off Keller Road.
Winners will be announced when the jerseys are unveiled on April 10 at 6 p.m.
The Orlando Solar Bears will begin playing in the ECHL at the Amway Center in October 2012.
