ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando showed Local 6 on Wednesday a sneak peek of its new Cabana Bay Beach Resort, which is expected to open in 2014.
The resort, which includes a bowling alley, lazy river and pools, is double the size of any other Universal resort and boasts a retro look taking you back to the 1950s and 60s.
"The theme is something we've been batting around for years we liked the idea of a retro hotel and were seeing a lot of retro product becoming relevant," Russ Dagon of Universal Orlando.
Standard rooms will start at $119 and suites will be $174. 600 rooms will open in spring 2014 and the remaining 1200 will open in the summer.
