DELAND, Fla. – Good food, good music and good times are all available starting Thursday at the Volusia County fair.
The 10-day fair kicks off Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand.

Admission is free for everyone on opening day. Tickets for adults cost $8 in advance and $10 at the gate. Admission for children ages 6-12 costs $4 in advance and $5 at the gate. Kids ages 5 and under are allowed in for free.

Families interested in going on the rides at the fair must also buy a wristband. The unlimited ride wristbands cost anywhere from $1 to $25, depending on the night.
Country band Diamond Rio and singer Casey James are two of the musical acts headlining the 2013 fair.
