ORLANDO, Fla. – Several people were injured Monday when a vehicle and a school bus crashed in Orlando.
The wreck happened around 8:50 a.m. at Winter Garden Vineland Road and Mystic Circle as the bus was headed to Bridgewater Middle School in Winter Garden.
Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes said the bus made a left turn from the Abaco Key apartments into oncoming traffic and was struck by a PT Cruiser.
The driver of the PT Cruiser and nine students were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, officials said.Â
Bus driver Linda Rickerson, 55, was ticketed for violation of right of way, according to FHP.
