LEESBURG, Fla. – A candlelight vigil will be held on Wednesday night to mark eight years since Trenton Duckett vanished from his Leesburg home.
The 2-year-old boy was reported missing on Aug. 27, 2006 by his mother, Melinda Duckett.
Duckett told investigators she put Trenton to bed and when she went to check on him a few hours later, he was gone and the screen on his bedroom window was cut.
He was never found. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children also released a new, age-progressed image of Trenton as a 9-year-old on the heels of the anniversary of his disappearance.
Trenton's vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Leesburg Town Square.
