3 new victims come forward in Kissimmee sex battery case, police say

Jorge Ramos, 49, accused of touching children inappropriately, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police said on Friday they have charged a man accused of touching a child inappropriately with 34 additional charges after three more alleged victims came forward.

Jorge Ramos, 49, faces charges of sexual battery on a victim under 12, 21 counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child between 12 and 16, eight counts of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, two counts of harmful obscene material to minors and 2 counts of tampering with a victim during a life felony proceeding.

Police said Ramos was first arrested in September when a 12-year-old told officers Ramos touched him while they were playing video games at Ramos' apartment.

After the first report, three additional victims came forward saying that Ramos inappropriately touched them, according to police. Five victims in total have come forward against Ramos saying that they would go to Ramos' Bryan Street apartment to play video games and he would show them obscene materials, touching them inappropriately.

Police also said Ramos has called and threatened his victims from jail.

"That is very serious," said Stacie Miller of Kissimmee Police Department. "He is trying to get a victim to change the story they told officers. We take that very seriously."

The investigation is ongoing and Ramos is being held on no bond.
