MASCOTTE, Fla. – An 18-year-old student was arrested after authorities say he brought a gun to school in Lake County on Wednesday.
Quentin Caldwell has been charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, according to authorities.

A deputy at South Lake High School received a tip from the Mascotte Police Department that Caldwell had brought the unloaded gun to the high school.
Caldwell was searched and the deputy found a .22 caliber revolver in his possession, according to deputies.
Deputies said no threat was made to the school and Caldwell did not have any ammo.
Caldwell was booked into Lake County Jail.
