Police say man attacked at Orlando park

One suspect arrested; one man still on run

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man is recovering after he was attacked and robbed by two teens at an Orlando park, according to police.

Giovanni Jean, 17, was arrested at a nearby apartment complex on charges of armed robbery, armed burglary and attempted murder with a firearm.  Shamari Cook, 17, is the second suspect sought in the attack, according to police.

Investigators said they were called Sunday afternoon to Pleasant Valley Park on Pleasant Valley Court. Officers said the victim told them he was approached by two men, who demanded his belongings.

When the man refused, the victim said the men hit him in the head with a handgun and fired a shot at him.  The victim was not struck.

Investigators said the suspects stole items from the victim and from the victim's car before running from the park.
