ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – One person has been arrested and a second person is still being sought after a Brinks truck driver who was delivering money to an ATM was attacked, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The incident happened at 2:47 p.m. Friday at the Wells Fargo at 2400 South Chickasaw Trail.

Deputies said a Brinks employee was refilling cash at the drive-thru automated teller machine when a robber approached him from behind and took the money bag.

Video from Sky 6 shows Charles Chukes, 26, being taken into an Orange County Sheriff's Office patrol car. Chukes is being charged with grand theft of more than $100,000.

"I was in front of the bank and I heard gunshots," said Harold Yeadon, a witness.

"I heard gunshots so I ducked down and looked and there were two or three more," said Tim Johnson, who was working nearby.

"I didn't know what was going off. It was nice and quiet beforehand, and then all of a sudden four gunshots go off," Yeadon said.

Investigators said the Brinks guard fired the shots at Chukes.

"He was hauling. He hit something then he continued on," Yeadon said about the suspect.

Deputies caught up to Chukes at a nearby neighborhood in a white Dodge Magnum.

"You know, when you see armored trucks, you kind, of get nervous anyways because you never know what happens around them," said Sherry Jones, a witness.
