ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was struck by three vehicles and killed Monday night in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal hit-and-run crash happened on Orange Blossom Trail at Clarcona Ocoee Road.
Troopers said they believe the first vehicle may have struck the man and then left the area because another driver at the scene reported that the man was already lying in the road. Skid marks and debris were found, indicating that another car was, in fact, involved, according to troopers.
Troopers said they are searching for a gray vehicle with a passenger side-view mirror that is damaged.
Officials are working to find out why the pedestrian was in the roadway before being hit.
Charges are pending against the driver of the first vehicle.
