ORLANDO, Fla. – A man who was shot by Orange County deputies outside the WWE Performance Center in 2015 was recently arrested on battery charges.
Armando Montalvo was arrested in January after he was accused of inappropriately touching a woman outside a bar on Orange Avenue in Orlando.
A judge ruled in court Friday that Montalvo will be held on no bond, prompting an outburst from him.
"I was shot by police. I got shot by police. I got shot by police. I'm the victim," yelled Montalvo, referring to the 2015 incident.
Montalvo's latest arrest comes after questions about his competency to stand trial in connection with the WWE incident. Authorities said Montalvo was obsessed with a female wrestler and refused to leave the facility. Montalvo charged at a deputy, who opened fire and struck him, officials said.
Montalvo was released from jail after posting bond in the 2015 incident, but his bond was revoked after his most recent arrest, leading to Friday's hearing.
