Man shot in his driveway in Orlando

Neighbor: 'There's kids around here'

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are investigating a robbery and shooting that happened at an Orlando home Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said they received a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m., reporting a man had been shot during a robbery at 2764 Delcrest Drive.

The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and listed in critical but stable condition late Tuesday night, according to sheriff's investigators.

The investigators told News 6 the victim and the gunman knew each other, and they got into an argument in the driveway of the home Tuesday afternoon.

That's when, they said, the man was shot at least once.

Neighbors said they were concerned because the shooting happened near an area in which children were playing.

"It kind of scares me to know that there's kids around here, and one of them could've gotten shot," neighbor Frankie Bonilla said.

"There's little kids out here all the time, especially around this time (of) day, right after school," neighbor David Johnson said. "There's a little worry."

Detectives spent Tuesday night searching the home on Delcrest Drive, dumping out clothes baskets and placing items in evidence bags. They would not release a possible motive for the shooting, other than saying it started with an argument.

Deputies are searching for the gunman.
