ORLANDO, Fla. – Residents near the Lake Eola area will hear a 21-gun salute Thursday as part of a memorial service.
The memorial service is for a retired Air Force remember who recently died, city officials said.

The salute will be made up of seven rifles, with three shots of blanks each.
Orlando police were made aware in case they receive calls for shots fired.
The 21-gun salute traces back to the Middle Ages as a way to honor people.
The service will be held at the Eola House from 4 to 6 p.m.
