The infant was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to be treated for his or her injuries. The baby later died at the hospital, according to a news release.

Loyd, who was wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon and Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton, was found at the home the evening of Jan. 17, bringing a nine-day manhunt to an end.

Deputies said it has not been determined if the infant's death is connected to Loyd in any way.
