Deputies said they found the Toyota at a Speedway Gas Station on John Young Parkway. The Toyota crashed into a deputy's patrol vehicle while attempting to flee, the report said.
The Toyota temporarily stopped after the crash and deputies attempted to detain the three people inside, but then the driver began accelerating toward one of the deputies, who in turn fired his or her gun one time, according to authorities.
The driver stopped the Toyota and deputies detained Dominique Chavoreya Knight-Lewis, 24, and two 16-year-old boys, the sheriff's office said.
All three are residents of Pembroke Pines. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Miami, deputies said. They have been charged with robbery by sudden snatching and grand theft auto. Additional charges are pending.
No one was injured in the incident.
