ORLANDO, Fla. – The sentencing for a man accused of running down and badly injuring an Orlando police officer has been postponed until December.
Lawyers for Edward Kelty asked for the delay so a doctor can evaluate their client.
Kelty faces life in prison after pleading no contest to charges that he struck Officer William Anderson with his car in 2015.
Kelty's sentencing hearing is now scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on December 8.
