ORLANDO, Fla. – One person was killed and four others were wounded early Monday in a shooting at an Orange County sports bar, deputies said.
The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. at Happy Place Sports Bar on Southland Boulevard near Sand Lake Road and South Orange Blossom Trail.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the bar and found two victims with gunshot wounds. Edgar Rivera died at the scene, deputies said. The other shooting victim was a security guard at the business, officials said. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Three others victims showed up at ORMC, deputies said.
The surviving victims were identified as Qudrain Nelson Hines, Christian Abrego, Ed Rivera and Adrian Manrique.
Witnesses reported an argument in the parking lot prior to the shooting.
In the last year, Orange County Sheriff's Office records show deputies responded to the Happy Place Sports Bar for 30 calls for service. Last month, deputies responded to five calls for service, records show.
No other details have been released.
