COCOA, Fla. – Brevard County deputies are investigating a body found in a vehicle near Cocoa on Monday.
Deputies responded about 8 a.m. TO Mak Towing and Auto Repair just off Clearlake Road on Lake Drive, said Brevard County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tod Goodyear. They cordoned off the small auto shop with crime scene tape as they collected evidence and photographed the scene, according to News 6 partner Florida Today.
Personnel from the county medical examiners office were also at the scene.
Many details were not available as the investigation was still in the early stages, Goodyear said.
"The preliminary thought is that (the death) might be natural," Goodyear said. "The victim had a number of health problems."
"There is evidence (the person) was recently released from the hospital," he said.
At this point investigators were not treating it as a suspicious death, Goodyear said.
