Crayola Experience prepares to celebrate company’s 120th birthday with big giveaway

People can register to get free crayon box Friday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Crayola Experience hopes to inspire children to color the world with kindness with this year’s Million Crayon Giveaway.

Beginning Friday, which also happens to be national Crayon day, the attraction at the Florida Mall is allowing guests to register and pick up a box of 32 crayons for free.

Guests will be able to hand pick which crayons they want from the attraction’s 40-foot-long Pick Your Pack wall. For the first time, the Color of Kindness crayons “Be Sweet to Each Other,” “You’re So A-Peeling,” “Kind to the Core,” “Rise Above,” and “Spread Your Wings” will be available.

“Celebrating National Crayon Day and the Crayola crayon’s 120th birthday is the perfect time to colorfully inspire happy thoughts, encourage positive interactions, and motivate acts of kindness and compassion,” said Warren Schorr, Crayola senior vice president of Business Development, Global Licensing and Experiences.

Coloring the World with Kindness: Crayola Experience is Giving Away a Million Crayons (Crayola)

The special event is not only benefiting guests. The Crayola Experience said this year it’s also partnering with five organizations around the country to donate $150,000-worth of Colors of Kindness crayons and Crayola Experience tickets to families in the community. Here in Central Florida — Crayola Experience said it will be donating 1,000 Colors of Kindness crayon boxes and 1,000 Crayola Experience admission tickets to area foster families through the Embrace Families organization. As Central Florida’s lead agency for children involved in the child welfare system, Embrace Families is responsible for the safety and well-being of over 8,600 of our community’s children.
