CHRISTIANBURG, Va. – Wendy’s has partnered with DoorDash and Wing to drop off burgers, Frostys and fries via drone to customers in a Virginia town.
As of Thursday in Christianburg, select Wendy’s customers placing an order through DoorDash from the restaurant at 2355 N. Franklin Street will see an option to have their meal delivered by drone.

If the option is selected, the meal will arrive on a Wing drone, usually within around 30 minutes or less, according to a news release.
The drone delivery company Wing launched U.S. commercial operations in Christianburg in 2019 and is otherwise celebrating a successful year-long trial in Australia, becoming what it says is a preferred mode of delivery for millions of small packages, according to Wing’s blog.
