ORLANDO, Fla. – You have another shot Friday night to win the Mega Millions jackpot.
The jackpot grew to an estimated $1.22 billion after there was no winner on Christmas Eve. The cash option is just under $550 million.

Friday’s jackpot will potentially be the fifth largest in the game’s history. Mega Millions tickets are $2 a piece, but the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350 and the odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are 1 in 24, according to lottery officials.
Mega Millions’ ticket prices will rise from $2 to $5 in April. The increase will be one of many changes that officials say will result in improved jackpot odds, more frequent giant prizes and even larger payouts.

- $1.337 billion, Mega Millions, July 29, 2022 (one ticket, from Illinois)
- $1.326 billion, Powerball, April 7, 2024 (one ticket, Oregon)
- $1.13 billion, Mega Millions, March 26, 2024 (one ticket, from New Jersey)
