Paul Zembreski died in the wreck around 7 a.m. at Cocoa Water Plant Road near the Brevard County line, troopers said.

According to the FHP, the man was driving a 1999 Dodge pickup westbound on S.R. 520 and turned into the path of a Hyundai, which was headed east.

The front of the pickup struck the right side of the car, the FHP said. Zembreski, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The woman driving the Hyundai, identified by troopers as Barbara Kalevich, 57, of Orlando, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, the FHP said.

S.R. 520 was closed in both directions during the investigation, but all lanes reopened later.
