Crews repair 2-square-foot hole on I-4 overpass, FDOT says

ORLANDO, Fla. – Officials said crews repaired a 2-by-2-foot hole that opened up on the westbound bridge deck at the Division Street overpass on Monday.

The Florida Department of Transportation said it's unclear what may have caused the hole.

The area with the hole was closed off, along with a second lane, for worker safety, FDOT said. An area on Division Avenue was also closed beneath the hole.

The department said the overpass is one that will eventually be replaced as part of the I-4 Ultimate Project.

Workers completed the repairs Monday night.
