Florida hotel employee finds woman’s body in room

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Florida authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered Tuesday afternoon by a hotel employee.

Broward County sheriff's deputies are considering the death at a Dania Beach hotel to be suspicious, WPLG-TV reports. The body was found when the employee entered a guest room.

“Upon deputies’ arrival, they located an adult female unresponsive on the third floor of the hotel,” Sgt. Donald Prichard said. “Broward homicide detectives are classifying this as a suspicious death and are trying to identify the cause of death for the female.”

Some guests checked out of the hotel after learning of the death. Others were unable to get back to their rooms as crime scene technicians investigated the scene.
