STUART, Fla. – A surfer out of South Florida said he was bitten by a shark for the second time at the same beach.
Cole Taschman is recovering after being bitten by what he says was a 7 to 8-foot-long shark while surfing at Bathtub Beach in Stuart, south of Fort Pierce.
Taschman was able to get back to shore and some friends helped get him to the hospital, where he shared his story two surgeries and 93 stitches later.
“I almost lost the whole part of my ankle and then on this foot, I don’t even know how I still have toes to tell you the truth,” he said. “It’s a beast. It was a big one.”
Taschman suffered his first shark bite back in 2013 at the same beach, he said.
