Since he was sworn in in January 2017, he has sponsored one bill that has been enacted. That bill, the Veterans Opioid Abuse Prevention Act, requires medical providers at the Department of Veterans Affairs to seek information about a veteran from state programs that monitor prescription drug use before prescribing a controlled substance.

Dunn sits on three committees: the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.

Rackleff, who was a Leon County commissioner from 1998 to 2010, aimed to provide universal health care, enhance Social Security benefits and improve services for veterans.

Dunn will be sworn in for a second term on Jan. 3, 2019.
