The new season of the TV show “The Bachelor” might have some out-of-this-world competition. Literally.
News 6 partner Florida Today reported that Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who will fly on SpaceX’s first tourist voyage to the moon, is looking for someone to share that experience with him, specifically a woman.

Maezawa tweeted Sunday asking which woman would want to go to the moon with him on the trip slated for 2023.

His reasoning? Quite simply, Maezawa is looking to find his life partner.
Though Maezawa has lived his life "exactly as I've wanted to up until now," according to his website, the billionaire entrepreneur is now looking for what money can't buy: love.
"I'm 44 now," Maezawa said on his website. "As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there's one thing that I think about: Continuing to love one woman."
But not just anyone can hitch a ride with Maezawa. Instead, there's an application to apply to be his travel partner (and potentially more). Single women 20 and over with bright, positive personalities who want to enjoy life to the fullest and wish for world peace can apply to go to the moon with Maezawa, according to the website.
Deadline to apply is this Friday with the selection process beginning Jan. 25 and 26. Starting mid-February, "matchmaking" dates with Maezawa will begin and in mid-March, there will be "special" dates to get to know Maezawa.
By the end of March, Maezawa expects to make his decision and will announce who his partner will be.
Those interested in applying can do so at www.mz.abema.tv/en.html.
It was first announced Maezawa would be SpaceX's first private passenger to fly around the moon back in September 2018. Known for his vast art collection, development of art foundations and being the founder of Zozotown, a large online fashion mall, Maezawa plans to bring six to eight artists with him for the mission around the moon.
"These artists will be asked to create something after their return to Earth, and these masterpieces will inspire the dreamer within all of us," Maezawa told SpaceX employees and media representatives in 2018 at the company's headquarters in Hawthorne, California when he made his announcement he'd be flying to the moon with SpaceX.
"I have not decided which artists I'd like to invite, but if possible, I'd like to reach out to top artists that represent our planet from various fields."
The artists’ trips and training would be fully funded.
