1 dead in Orange County house fire

Fatal fire breaks out in 3000 block of Magnolia Lake Lane

ORLANDO, Fla. – One person was killed early Tuesday in a house fire in Orange County, officials said.

The fatal fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on Magnolia Lake Lane near Magnolia Homes Road in Lockhart.

A neighbor told News 6 that he called 911 after hearing some noise.

Orange County Fire Rescue tweeted that the cause of the fire is not known.

“Units were dispatched to a house fire at 0337am. The crews did remove one deceased person. Cause of death and origin of fire are both undetermined. State Fire Marshal will conduct an investigation as to the cause of fire,” the tweet said.

Lt. Claudia Fernandez with Orange County Fire Rescue said the fire was on the left side of the home where firefighters found the deceased victim.

“(The) State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and the medical examiner is confirming the cause of death,” Fernandez said.

No other details, including information about the victim, have been released.
