DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A former Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University professor who is also a pastor at a local church was arrested Wednesday after Daytona Beach police said they found 200 child pornography images on his electronic devices.
Police said the investigation into 73-year-old John Robert Griffin II began two months ago after a tip was received from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography being shared through phone apps.

A search warrant was executed Wednesday at Griffin’s home on Muirfield Drive and multiple electronic devices containing 200 child pornography images were located, records show.
Griffin was taken into custody and police said they plan to charge him with at least 30 felony counts of child pornography possession. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
In addition to being an associate professor of air traffic management at Embry-Riddle, Griffin is also a pastor at Riverbend Community Church in Ormond Beach.
