A pedestrian was hit by a car in Orange County Sunday evening, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened in the eastbound lane on Colonial Drive near Masood Lane.

Authorities said the pedestrian was talking on the side of the road, and a witness to the accident told authorities the car swerved off the road and struck the pedestrian.
Florida Highway Patrol said the pedestrian died at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.
