KISSIMMEE, Fla. â If youâre looking for something to do this holiday break, Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee is partnering with Warner Brothers to bring the movie âElfâ to life.
Mission Save Christmas featuring Elf is a new walk-through attraction, replacing the seasonal ICE attraction that featured holiday ice sculptures.
âItâs not only an immersive experience, but itâs interactive. We want our customers to come in and play as a family and have a great memory to bring home,â Director of Special Events and Entertainment Andres Calvo said.

The attraction takes you right into Buddy the Elfâs world from the North Pole to Central Park, New York. Youâll have to complete several challenges to gather enough Christmas cheer to power Santaâs sleigh.
Some of the challenges include sorting toys inside the Toy Factory and gathering the right ingredients to bake Santaâs cookies. And thereâs several games to play along the way like âwhack a clown.â
âEverything you see from visuals, scents, scenics you see around us, audio ... everythingâs put together by local companies,â Calvo said.
Youâll end the experience with a virtual snowball fight in Central Park.
But thatâs not all Gaylord Palms has to offer.
In the Snow Factory, you can slide down Snow Flow Mountain using tubes. The mountains filled with ice.
âIt was bumpy, it was fast. I hope everyone has fun like I did,â 9-year-old Richard Williams said.
While the kids are enjoying the slopes, the adults can cool down at the Snow Bar. The bar offers customized cocktails, made with a holiday twist.
Thereâs also a holiday marketplace for shopping, a tree trail with plenty of photo opportunities and a new holiday show Cirque: The Spirit of Christmas.
