🔓Gaylord Palms ‘Mission Save Christmas’ transports you into ‘Elf’ movie

Attraction takes you into Buddy’s world from ‘Elf’ movie

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – If you’re looking for something to do this holiday break, Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee is partnering with Warner Brothers to bring the movie “Elf” to life.

Mission Save Christmas featuring Elf is a new walk-through attraction, replacing the seasonal ICE attraction that featured holiday ice sculptures.

“It’s not only an immersive experience, but it’s interactive. We want our customers to come in and play as a family and have a great memory to bring home,” Director of Special Events and Entertainment Andres Calvo said.

The attraction takes you right into Buddy the Elf’s world from the North Pole to Central Park, New York. You’ll have to complete several challenges to gather enough Christmas cheer to power Santa’s sleigh.

Some of the challenges include sorting toys inside the Toy Factory and gathering the right ingredients to bake Santa’s cookies. And there’s several games to play along the way like “whack a clown.”

“Everything you see from visuals, scents, scenics you see around us, audio ... everything’s put together by local companies,” Calvo said.

You’ll end the experience with a virtual snowball fight in Central Park.

But that’s not all Gaylord Palms has to offer.

In the Snow Factory, you can slide down Snow Flow Mountain using tubes. The mountains filled with ice.

“It was bumpy, it was fast. I hope everyone has fun like I did,” 9-year-old Richard Williams said.

While the kids are enjoying the slopes, the adults can cool down at the Snow Bar. The bar offers customized cocktails, made with a holiday twist.

There’s also a holiday marketplace for shopping, a tree trail with plenty of photo opportunities and a new holiday show Cirque: The Spirit of Christmas.
