SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The concentration of COVID-19 in the Altamonte Sewer Service Areas has decreased 75% from the week prior, according to Altamonte Springs City Manager Franklin Martz.
Martz said this is the lowest level of COVID the area has seen since Dec. 13.

The concentration levels, however, are still high, statistics show.
The omicron variant is the dominant strain in the area, while the delta variant was not detected, according to Martz.
The number of COVID-19 cases across the state is also decreasing. Weekly COVID-19 cases have declined the past two weeks in the Sunshine State, according to the latest data.
