POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A man arrested in a 2021 child pornography sting in Polk County will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
David Lavin, 30, pleaded no contest to charges of child pornography, sexual battery on a victim under 12, lewd molestation and promoting sexual performance by a child.

The judge sentenced Lavin to 27 life sentences to be served consecutively.
Lavin was among 16 people arrested during the pornography sting. Lavin was one of the main suspects in the operation, along with Harrison Egbert, according to deputies.
Egbert was found with over 1,000 child pornography files and admitted to sexually abusing three girls, ages 5, 7 and 8. The ex-Marine veteran and clerk at Leadfeather Guns and Ammo in Winter Haven implicated his friend, Lavin, whom he said facilitated one of his victims multiple times and recorded the abuse.
Egbert pleaded no contest in May and is already serving four consecutive life sentences.
