OCALA, Fla. – A Central Florida man was arrested and charged on Thursday for his involvement in the attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to the FBI.
FBI agents arrested Jeremy Christian Harrison, of Hernando, on Thursday morning.

He appeared in Ocala’s federal court that afternoon facing charges of entering a restricted building and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
According to court documents, investigators said Harrison was seen with two other men walking into the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021.
He reportedly told investigators he thought the Capitol was open, and he did not realize he was doing anything wrong.

He told investigators he left when chaos erupted inside.
Investigators said Harrison has been cooperative, and he provided them with the shirt he was seen wearing on surveillance video.
Harrison’s arrest marks the 36th Central Florida resident charged in connection with the Capitol riot.
