HOLLY HILL, Fla. – Two Holly Hill police officers helped deliver a baby in the parking lot of a local Walgreens on Sunday, according to the police department.
In a video posted to social media, police said that the officers arrived at the parking lot in the early hours of Sunday morning, where the mother was going into labor.
Body camera footage shows the encounter as the two officers tended to the pregnant mother.
“Alright, we’ve got eyes open. Eyes are open,” one of the officers can be heard saying. “OK, OK, I’ve got a baby!”
Following the birth, the mother decided to name her new baby “Chase,” police said. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces, the video states.
