OCALA, Fla. – Two people were critically injured in a plane crash at the Ocala International Airport on Tuesday morning, according to city officials.
In a release, the city explained that Ocala Fire Rescue responded to the crash around 10:52 a.m.

Upon arrival, fire crews found that the plane had suffered some wing damage and a small fuel leak, and two people were found inside, the release shows.
According to the city, crews were able to stop the leak, though both occupants were taken to the hospital as trauma alerts.

The Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board and State Warning Point were notified about the crash.
No additional information has been provided at this time, including the identities of those injured or the cause of the crash.
