The victim told police that once she reached the intersection of Hunt Road and Lormann Circle, she saw a silver, four-door sedan traveling east at a high rate of speed on Lormann Circle.
According to the affidavit, the victim said that she recognized the person driving the vehicle and identified her as 20-year-old Anavay Lalwani.
The victim told police that she knew Lalwani because earlier in the day the two were in a “physical altercation.”
Police said they spoke with the residents of the home on Lormann Circle and confirmed that nobody was injured in the drive-by shooting. A person at the residence said they were unaware of anyone who would want to harm her or her family but said she was aware of a physical altercation that happened earlier in the day, and one of the people involved her daughter’s friend, the affidavit said.
According to the affidavit, police located several bullet holes on the north side of the residence and confirmed “some of the projectiles made entry into the residence.”
A witness at a nearby home told police that he saw a silver sedan driving east on Lormann Circle when he saw a passenger extend what appeared to be a black handgun and fire at the residence.
A second neighbor was able to provide camera footage of the incident to police, officials said.
A license plate reader report shows that the sedan was in the area of the drive-by shooting and the area of the aforementioned physical altercation.
According to the affidavit, a gray Hyundai Elantra was pulled over by Orlando police on Aug. 14, and Lalwani was driving the vehicle. Lalwani originally denied knowing where Longwood is or being involved in an altercation, but later admitted to being involved in the fight and being in the area at the time of the shooting – but said nobody shot a gun from her car.
On Aug. 15, a search warrant was issued and a black iPhone was recovered from the front, driver side compartment. The phone was seized and put into evidence.
Longwood police said that on Oct. 4, Lalwani contacted them “demanding her property be returned to her,” but was told that it cannot be returned to her at that time. Lalwani called again and left a voicemail stating that there is a video on the phone of a “pedophile engaging in sexual conduct to include sexual intercourse with a minor child.”
According to the affidavit, on the same day, two search warrants were signed and the phone was turned over to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office digital forensics unit. The information obtained shows that the phone was in the neighborhood at the time of the shooting. It also contained videos and photos that show “sexual performance of a minor.”
In a news release, Longwood police said they arrested Lalwani, with the help of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, in connection with a drive-by shooting and for the “voluminous amount of child pornography.” She is also accused of sharing the photos and videos with at least one other person, police said.
Since Lalwani’s arrest in Orange County, she has since been transferred to the Seminole County jail on a $336,000 bond, officials said.
She faces charges firing into an occupied dwelling, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, 18 counts of obscene communication electronic transmission of child pornography, 18 counts of possession of child pornography, and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Longwood police said the case remains under investigation.
