Florida has become an incredibly popular state within the last few years, with hundreds of thousands of people moving to the Sunshine State.
Earlier this month, the U.S. Census released its latest state-to-county migration report, which estimates how many people moved into each of Florida’s counties between 2017 and 2021.

The data track whether people moving to a county came from another county in Florida, a separate U.S. state, or a different region altogether.
A huge swath of the estimated migration into Central Florida came from New York and Puerto Rico, especially in places like Orange, Osceola and Polk counties.
Below are the results of the study, examining how many people moved from other states, Washington D.C. or Puerto Rico.
