Hughley faces a charge of second-degree murder with a firearm.
According to court records, Hughley was also taken into custody on Jan. 2 after he was found with a stolen firearm during a traffic stop.
During that incident, police said Hughley told them he had bought the firearm “on the street” from someone who had “walked up to him randomly.”
In that case, Hughley faces a charge of third-degree grand theft. Police have not said whether that case was at all linked to Saturday’s shooting.
No additional information has been provided at this time, including the details of the shooting.
