ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman managed to escape an attempted kidnapping near the EPCOT theme park last year, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies released an incident report on Thursday, showing that the incident happened on the night of July 3 at the cast member parking lot.

According to that report, the woman — who worked at the theme park — was getting off her shift and walking to her vehicle.

However, on her way toward the car, a man leaned out of the driver’s side window of a nearby vehicle and grabbed the woman around her waist, pulling her into the window, investigators explained.

The woman told detectives that she screamed, elbowed him in the head until he let go, and ultimately ran away, the incident report states.

After letting go, the man reportedly said, “It’s OK. Just come to me, princess,” deputies said.

Despite that, the vehicle sped off toward the exit of the parking lot as the woman ran to her vehicle, detectives added.

The report said the woman later contacted law enforcement saying the man was seen driving a dark-colored sedan, though the woman was unable to see his license plate.

While the reported incident happened outside of the view of surveillance cameras, security footage showed the sedan speeding through the parking lot shortly after 9 p.m., deputies explained.
