19 arrested in Seminole County marijuana pop-up shop sting

Vendors, customers facing charges for involvement in bust

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 19 people as part of an investigation into a marijuana pop-up shop sting.

According to a news release, two undercover agents arrived to the suspected pop-up business on Saturday on Winter Woods Boulevard near State Road 436. Investigators said the agents purchased presale tickets and then were patted down for weapons upon entry.

Described as a small room with five vendor tables, investigators said large amounts of suspected marijuana could be seen in plain sight. One of the vendors, Angel Seda Rivera, sold one of the agents 10 grams of suspected marijuana for $40. Investigators later conducted a search warrant for the property and detained the suspects involved.

Deputies said agents also approached Arsenio De’Shawn and Alexandria Ruemmeley in a Jeep in the parking lot, where police found five pounds of suspected marijuana and 28 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

According to the release, agents also approached Matthew Winckel in a white Nissan and found six grams of suspected marijuana and three grams of THC wax.

Each suspect listed is facing at least one count of conspiracy to traffic marijuana:

All suspects were transported to the Seminole County Jail, deputies said.
