ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – UPDATE: A missing Altamonte Springs man was found safe, police said Tuesday.
Rene Hernandez was located in safe condition, but no other details have been released.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Altamonte Springs Police Department is searching for a missing 46-year-old man with autism.
Police said they responded Monday to Goldelm at Charter Pointe apartment complex after the family of Rene Hernandez raised concerns about his whereabouts. His family said Hernandez is diagnosed with autism and new to the area, police said.
He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 275 pounds. He has black and partially gray hair with a beard.
Hernandez was last seen in the area of Ballard Street in Altamonte Springs wearing a gray hat with a blue bill, a gray hoodie, a red Coca-Cola T-shirt, Christmas-themed pajama pants and dark blue slip-on shoes, according to a release.
